While BINI currently engages with fans through platforms like Weverse, I wanted to explore a "what if" scenario. If I were designing a dedicated digital home for BINI and the Blooms, what would it look like? This concept project reimagines their online presence as a centralized hub designed specifically for how fans discover music, collect content, and stay connected.

First Impression: Identity in Motion

The experience begins with a custom loading sequence that pulls from each member’s signature color and prominently features their latest EP, Signals. This animation transforms a typical loading state into a branded moment that establishes identity and builds anticipation before the user even reaches the homepage.

Introducing The 8

Fandom culture is rooted in collecting, so I designed the member section around interactive components inspired by photocard culture. These components allow fans to engage with each member's visual identity directly. For a look at the foundational structure, see the attached wireframe image.

Content Management & Discography

To keep the site flexible, I integrated Sanity CMS. This allows profile information and images to be updated independently from the frontend code, ensuring the site remains as dynamic as the group itself.

For the discography, I wanted to prioritize performance and reliability. I built a custom pipeline to manage music data, as shown in the attached process diagram. My process involves fetching data from the Spotify API via a custom script, which then generates a local JSON file that the website reads directly.

This approach is practical because discography updates only occur when there is a new release. By avoiding constant external API calls during site visits, I ensure faster page loads while maintaining the ability to link users directly to Spotify for a full listening experience. This keeps the site lightweight and minimizes external dependencies.

Final Perspective

This project explores how a fan experience can be built around genuine behavior rather than traditional website conventions. By prioritizing discovery and interaction, this platform becomes more than just an information hub. It becomes a space that Blooms can actively explore and return to, offering a digital home that truly reflects the energy of the fandom.
